Urgent Care for Treatment of MRSA

Urgent care was needed for a patient who arrived at our clinic with a lesion of the left lower leg. The patient thought he had received an insect bite but upon examination and tests, it was discovered that he had MRSA.
Patient was treated by septra and responded to the antibiotics and did well.
MRSA is an infection caused by Staphylococcus which is resistant to regular antibiotics.
