A 65 year old patient was seen at the Walk in Medical Center for shortness of breath and cough for 2 days. The patient had mild fever but did not have any congestion. The patient was seen by Dr. Jain who ordered the chest x ray which was normal. The blood tests are normal. The patient denied the history of bronchial asthma in the past and denied the history of allergies. The patient was treated for mycoplasma infections which can triger the bronchospasm. The patient was also given steroid inhaler to heal the spasm and inflammation.
The patient responded well to the regimen of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicine.
