A 54 years old patient was seen at the walk in clinic for the complaint of abdominal pain for seven days with some diarrhea. The patient denied any nausea and vomiting.

The patient ate waffles which were infected with listeriosis per news. The patient already have consumed some of the waffles before he found out about listeriosis.

The patient tried home remedies but not better.

Liserosis is not very common in normal people but it affects children, pregnant woman, older patients and immuno-compromised adult. Listeriosis. Symptoms of food poisoning can be from Noro virus which happens from dirty hands.

E coli can be caused by uncooked meat and raw vegetables. It can also be caused by dirty hands.

Listeria can cause any symptoms like from flu to effects on the nervous system. Listeria grows in the refrigerator and spread to other foods. Here is to avoid the listeria infection by cooking the food properly, keep food cold by keeping the refrigerator temperature below 40, clean the refrigerator clean, keep the kitchen clean, wash fruits and vegetables and avoid unpasteurized milk and keep the food covered. You also should listen the news about the outbreak.  Avoid eating hot dogs, dairy, meat, soft cheese and smoked sea food.

Salmonella food poisoning is the most common food poisoning and it happens by eating undercooked meat, dairy and eggs. It can cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

Hepatitis can also cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, fever and jaundice. It happens from the feces.
