Dr. Jain saw a 20 year old patient who came with the discoloration of the toe for three months. The patient had this problem for six months.
Dr. Usha Jain examined the patient and there was a white discoloration of the nail of the great toe and other toe. There was no redness and swelling of the tissues around the nail.
Dr. Jain explained that the discoloration of the toe nail is more likely from the fungus of the nail tissue. The cultures for the fungus was taken of the tissues by curetting . The blood was drawn and the patient was started on Lamisil 250 mg per day.
