We have seen a 55 year old patient who stubbed her rt. great toe. The patient had pain on walking. Dr. Jain examined the patient and x rays were ordered. The patient had fracture of the great toe. Her toes were tapped together and ace bandage was applied.
The patient had osteoporosis secondary to lack of hormones. The patient was advised to get the hormones checked and start on bio-identical hormones. Balancing the hormones is important for the bone health and to prevent the osteoporosis.
