A 56 year old patient was seen at the Medical Clinic with the chest pain and coughing. The patient started with cough and then had pain from coughing. The patient was seen by another MD and was given amoxicillin and tessalon perles but the patient had no relief. The patient was seen by Dr. Jain and blood tests and chest x ray was ordered. The patient had normal chest x ray. The patient was diagnosed with bronchitis and cartilage strain from coughing.
The patient was given the antibiotics to cover the mycoplasma, strong cough syrup with codeine and rib belt. The patient did well
