A 21 year old patient came to Walk in medical clinic and wanted to have titers done for the measles mumps and Rubella and chicken pox (varicella). The patient had the vaccine for MMR and her shool required to have the proof of the immunity. Dr. Jain saw the patient and ordered the lab test for titers and was positive that means the patient is immune to the disease.
Immune status can be examined by doing the titers which measures the antibodies against the sickness. The positive titers means that the patient is immune to the sickness and will not get the disease.
