Urgent Care Walk in Clinic Orlando Urinary Tract Infections

A 66 year old patient was seen by Dr. Usha Jain for UTI.  The patient had blood in the urine, burning and frequency on urination for several days. The patient had urinalysis and urine culture which showed bacteria and pus cells. The patient was given the antibiotics Cipro for infection and pyridium to relieve the symptoms of burning and urgency. The patient was told that pyridium can turn the urine color orange so not to worry about it as it is temporary and is only while the patient is taking pyridium. The patient was advised to drink lot of fluids.

The patient felt better next day. The patient was told to consider hormonal evaluation because low hormones can cause urinary tract infections.
