Vitamin D and Health at Walk in Medical Clinic

A 69-year-old patient had been coming to our Urgent Medical Center for hypertension.  Dr. Usha Jain ordered Vitamin D blood tests along with routine blood tests. The patient was found to have vitamin D deficiency. The patient was treated with high doses of vitamin D. The patient tolerated and did well.

The patient returned for follow up appointment 3 months later. She reported that her shortness of breath was better and was able go upstairs without feeling short of breath.

Vitamin D has mulitude of health benefits. It prevents cancer, Alzheimer disease, heart attacks, diabetes and osteoporosis etc. It also help reducing hypertension.

Vitamin D is very important for overall health and we suggest to get Vitamin D tests done.
